Row 1: What are best ways to treat a very discrete object, within the context of the other things I’m doing? What’s shown is one of several - usually small - structures I’ve found on the shoreline, wherein impermanence is explicit and embraced.
Row 2: First on left has been shown before, but the scene of the other three had a similar impact on me. Again, how do I think about a best treatment for something that here is both object and spatial?
Row 3: Two examples in which one exposure didn’t get it all, but two seemed to. There seems to be value in the combination being explicit. Is there a point at which I’ve interrupted the narrative with needless sleight of hand?
Row 4: A progression of treatments, or maybe interpretations. The first was done to see/show myself in impermanence and is staged with corn starch, all in one exposure. The next three are progressively more developed from observation to discovery. What fits this narrative? Also - at what point are these best as a separate project?
Row 5: I remembered I had the Woodman book - is it possible I’m on the same path she was? Also, not sure about the format of pages - those last shown were 6H x 9W and I find such books awkward to handle. I’m thinking square might be better.
