Pinhole Trials
Film
The taking lens and non-functioning shutter were removed from an old 65mm TLR lens and replaced with a pinhole plate. The viewing lens is useable, so this created a pinhole camera with a waist level viewfinder. Images here were made on Portra 400 and HP5.

Digital
A pinhole plate was made from a beer can, and mounted inside a body cap so that the opening was as close to the sensor as possible, for a wider angle of view. Then a UV filter was taped to the body cap, which in turn allows other filters to be screwed on.
Whereas film makes predictably softened images, digital seems to be a different beast. Shadows get muddy and contrasty edges can be pronounced. Even lighting in bright daylight on the other hand seems to have possibilities.
